In 2 September 2020 Pubg Mobile was banned in India. In November, about two months after the Battle Royal game was banned, game maker Krafton announced the launch of its Indian version. The company also designed a website for it from social media handles. In November, PUBG Corp./Krafton reported that preparations were being made for the launch of the Indian version of the game. The game will be launched in India under the name of PUBG Mobile India.
The Indian version will be developed completely according to the Indian environment. Game servers will be installed in India as well as full attention will be given to user data privacy. In its press release shared in November, The company said that the game-play and in-game items of PUBG Mobile India will also be changed. To protect user data, the company will create a special team which will monitor it.

Let us tell that PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite were banned due to violation of section 69A of IT Act in India. The government believed that user data privacy is violated through this game. Which is a threat to the sovereignty of the country. Apart from this game, many other Chinese apps were also banned by the government.
Three months have passed since the game was re-launched in November. But PUBG Mobile India cannot be launched. At the same time, the game FAUG, which was announced only two days after the ban of PUBG Mobile, has been launched last month. In such a situation, PUBG fans are eagerly awaiting the re-launch of this game. At the same time, Tencent is rolling out new updates for the global version.
PUBG Mobile is also the highest grossing game in the world last year. At the same time, in January 2021, this game remains the second highest grossing game globally. GemWire filed an RTI petition in December last year asking MEITY (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) about the launch of the game.

MEITY told GemWire in an RTI reply that there was no official talk between the ministry and the game officials. On the other hand, Krafton reported last month that it had signed a deal with Microsoft Azure that would protect user data.
